Huawei recently announced the Honor 6X smartphone at a major launch event in China on Tuesday, where the company also introduced the Honor Pad 2 and Watch S1. The Honor Pad 2 is priced at CNY 999 (approximately Rs. 9,900) for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only model, CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 12,900) for the 32GB Wi-Fi-only version, and CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 14,800) for the 32GB 4G variant. The Watch S1, available in strap colors such as orange, black, and blue, is priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 6,900).
The Honor Pad 2 features an 8-inch full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor and 3GB of RAM. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies. The tablet runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is available in both Wi-Fi-only and 4G variants, though the lack of widespread 4G availability may disappoint some users.
Other key features of the Honor Pad 2 include 4G LTE (with voice-calling functionality), Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, and a 4800 mAh battery for extended usage. The tablet is available in gold and white.
The Honor Watch S1 comes with a built-in heart rate sensor for health monitoring and features a circular dial. It has interchangeable straps and is water-resistant up to 50 meters. Huawei claims the Watch S1’s battery lasts up to 6 days.
Both the Honor Pad 2 and Watch S1 were available for pre-order starting October 19, 2016, with sales beginning in China on October 25, 2016. However, like the Honor 6X, both devices have only been launched in China, and no details have been provided regarding their availability or pricing in other markets.
