Now Sony TV will be made in Bangladesh

Technology Desk: The world-famous Sony Corporation of Japan will produce TVs in Bangladesh from now on. People have been using the world-famous Sony in numerous technology products including TV, camera, and mobile phone.

Smart Technologies of Bangladesh and Sony will jointly build this factory. It is known that this factory will be in Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City.

Smart Technology, one of the country’s technology businesses, imports computers, laptops and other technology products to Bangladesh.

The company’s MD told Bangladesh’s Tech Media Techshahr that they will try to complete the construction of the factory by 2023. Initially, Sony television will be ready here.

Currently, Sony’s institutional distributor in Bangladesh is Smart Technologies. Smart organized the launch of Sony’s new TV ‘Bravia K Series’ in the country on Wednesday. Japanese Ambassador to Dhaka Ito Naoki and Sony South-East Asia RMDC President Atsushi Endo were special guests.

On that occasion, the Japanese ambassador said that next year the factory of Japan’s Sony company is going to be opened in Bangladesh, it is great news. As the purchasing power of people in Bangladesh is increasing, a new consumer class has been created.

Atsushi Endo also announced the construction of Sony’s factory in Bangladesh. Mohammad Zahirul Islam also said in his speech to finish the construction of the factory soon and go to local production.

State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Farooq spoke as the chief guest, Additional Inspector General of Police Shafiqul Islam and Chairman of Smart Technologies Mohammad Mazharul Islam spoke as special guests.

It is known that on November 26, 2021, Smart Technologies was contracted as an institutional distributor to sell Sony products and other services in Bangladesh. The company currently markets around 85 brands of IT products worldwide.
